Emboldened To Freedom

with Holly Myers

Holly Myers is a passionate, energetic, and relatable woman that strives to minister specifically to girls and women.  She is a part of Revolution Church in Gastonia, NC, where her husband, Richard, is the head pastor. Holly and Richard are also the parents to two wonderful daughters!  She is the President and Founder of Unbound Ministries through Revolution Church. Her burden to begin Unbound Ministries grew out of her own life experiences and desire to help women of all ages overcome insecurities and seek the truth about beauty, freedom and who they are in Christ.

Holly was led down a long path of pain and destruction through her struggles for many years with self-image, food addiction, and understanding who she was in Christ.  When Holly surrendered to God’s grace, her past ultimately drew her closer to her Creator and allowed her to experience freedom. Because Christ set Holly free from the bondage she was in, she recognized a calling to speak to other girls and women that may share her same story.

In this conversation, Holly shares her heart behind the passion that she has for freedom.  Freedom can only be found in Jesus, and we have the choice everyday to choose freedom. When we hide our struggles, addictions, and pain in darkness, the devil uses against us.  But we can bring them into the light because that is where freedom is found.  There is fear when trying to overcome the things we face, but we can find boldness when we face them head on with the strength of the Lord.  In all these things, we were created to be in community, and the Lord provides people to surround us and embolden us to the freedom that we were promised by God.

Embolden Your Legacy

with Amy Carney

Amy Carney is an author, speaker, content creator, and product maker, helping parents raise their children and live out their legacy with more joy and purpose. She lives with her husband and five (soon to be six) children in Paradise Valley, Arizona.

In this conversation, Amy shares her journey of parenthood.  It is so easy to react your way through raising kids rather than proactively leading your family to your end goal.  It takes intentionality to purposefully think through and live out the legacy you want to have.  Amy shares that, ultimately, it is our actions, not just our intentions, that create an emboldened legacy.  It takes courage to take action and move forward, but that is where our legacies are made.

Embolden Your Words

with Bethny Ricks

Bethny is a speaker, author, and business executive. She spends her time writing and speaking on topics such as faith, wholeness, and living a life of purpose. Bethny is a hometown girl from Ohio with two children. She makes a killer pb&j and plans on hiking the Appalachian trail.

In this conversation, Bethny speaks to the power of  words - both what we say to ourselves and others.  Our words are a reflection of what is going on in our hearts, and they reflect our character.  In the same way, other people's words and opinions can have a significant affect on us as well.  So we need to determine what we allow to take root in our hearts.  God's Word and the words He has spoken over us are what makes us full.  And The Lord allows the encouraging words of other people to embolden us and make strong spiritual deposits in our lives.  There is power in purpose, and we have the ability to  embolden others with purposeful words.

Emboldened Without Fear

with Katy McCown

Katy McCown is president of She Laughs Ministries, a writer for Proverbs 31 Ministries, and a national speaker. Katy’s Bible teaching days began in her home as a young adult. From the floor of her children’s bedroom to the living room where she gathered with other women, Katy has spent more than a decade opening God’s Word and teaching it to others. In 2017, Katy joined the First 5 team at Proverbs 31 Ministries where she continues to study, train and teach the Bible.

Katy is married to former NFL quarterback Luke McCown. She left her job as a television news reporter to join him on his adventure in the National Football League. During his thirteen years in the NFL, they moved more than a dozen times as Luke played on six teams, primarily as a backup quarterback. Through all the uncertainties and surprises, Katy has learned some things about “living sure” even when the future is not, because even when God’s path seemed to sideline her plans, it never sidelined her purpose.

Luke and Katy are raising six children, plus two puppies, on their ranch in Texas. Katy loves a cup of strong coffee—or two—and her van is never clean. Never ever.

During this presentation, Katy shares about living emboldened without fear.  During times of fear, we often try to take control of the situation and fix it ourselves, but in order to live without fear of the future, we have to rely on our Savior and not ourselves.  This is demonstrated to us in 2 Chronicles 13 in the life of Jeroboam.  As we are consciously trusting God, we are choosing Him over our own understanding.  No matter what the end result is, we are able to live emboldened without fear - His grace is sufficient.
